We’re Hiring: Assistant Manager, Production & Packaging

The Role: Impacting the Plate
We are looking for a highly organized and cost-conscious Asst. Manager- Production & Packaging to lead our in-house white-labeling initiative. You will be the heart of our production center located within our warehouse, transforming bulk loose items (rice, lentils, sugar) into Apon-branded products. You will also spearhead our expansion into our own bakery items and snacks.

Key Responsibilities
● Production Management: Oversee the daily packaging operations of loose commodities (Rice, Sugar, Lentils) ensuring Production plan.
● Branding: Ensure right branding expiry compliance is maintained properly.
● Compliance: Ensure regulatory compliance are regularly updated in collaboration with the legal and compliance team, documents about production are registered.
● New Product Development: Manage the pilot and scaling of production for snacks and bakery items.
● Costing & Efficiency: Perform detailed production costing to ensure our white-label products maintain a competitive edge while offering maximum value to workers.
● Inventory & Waste Control: Maintain strict inventory control of raw materials and packaging supplies; implement "zero-waste" strategies during the packaging process.
● Quality Assurance: Ensure all white-label products meet Apon’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.
● Team Supervision: Manage the floor staff and laborers at the production center to meet daily output targets.

 

Who We Are Looking For
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE). Candidates with production management backgrounds will be prioritized.
● Experience: At least 2–3 years of experience in production management, costing, or inventory control, preferably within a retail, FMCG, or food processing environment.
● Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis, production tracking, and cost modeling is essential.

 

Salary & Benefits
● Monthly Salary: Tk. 50,000 to Tk. 60,000 (Negotiable based on experience and skills).
● Incentives: Performance-based incentives up to 10% of the basic salary.
● Growth: After successful probation, the role moves to a regular track with revised salary and benefits.
● Perks: Festival bonuses, health insurance, and delicious in-house lunch facilities.

Work Hours: 8 hours/day, 6 days a week (with alternative Saturdays).
