Nusrat Jahan Lija: Once at risk of fading out, now shining bright with Apon

Lija joined Apon in 2024 as a Shop Executive, soon after completing her HSC. She often reflects that had she not joined Apon, she might have been married off early, like many girls in her community. Instead, with hard work, consistency, and a drive to learn, she has built a promising career - rising to the position of Assistant Manager within a year.
Living in Kashimpur with her parents and younger sister, Lija proudly contributes to her family’s well-being and has become a role model in her community. She deeply values Apon’s commitment to women’s empowerment through opportunities rarely available to field teams elsewhere, like leadership training, skill development, and health and well-being programs.
Now, Lija dreams of restarting her education to further her career and personal growth, a goal Apon wholeheartedly supports as part of its mission to help women unlock their full potential. Reflecting on her journey, she shares, “Apon has not only given me a career but also the support to lead and grow. The environment here truly empowers women.”
